My first stop in Costa Rica was Capital Hostel De Ciudad in San Jose and it was a perfect choice! The Hostel is in a great location of San Jose and you can walk the streets around it and find great restaurants, shopping and anything you need.
The Hostel itself is a gem! Clean, neat, well laid out and organized and the bunks are fabulous! Each has a privacy curtain, a shelf, lights and plugs for you to charge all your stuff. It’s got a well stocked kitchen and spacious dining area, laundry facilties and some great places to hang out, including two outdoor patio areas. It’s also got a reading/coworking space and a fun little hangout area with a Pool table.
Because it’s San Jose, most people are either just getting to Costa Rica or on their way home and so it’s a fabulous place to meet other travelers and I was able to connect with new friends Patrick (Austria) and Lennie (Germany) to do some traveling down to Corcovado National Park!
The cost was $12 a night which can’t be beat!
