So…. We moved to Portugal! I’ve been wanting to go to Portugal for years and specifically to the Algharve region, that sunny, slow, southern coastline with it’s beautiful beaches, jagged cliffs and seaside towns. We settled in the Eastern Algharve in a small fishing village called Fuseta, just east of Faro.
It was a wonderful place to rest after our whirlwind trip around Andulsia, and we were able to just relax, dip into local life and get caught up on work. We were at a Casa just north of the town and so we were able to procure a couple of scooters from Sunride Scooter Rentals which made the stay so much more amazing! We were able to stay in a more rural place, complete with a pool and a massive yard but still be able to jet down to the town quickly for bars, restaurants and grocery stores!
The village of Fuseta is small but quaint and is a traditional fishing village. You can walk down to the market and shop or better yet, just stop into one of the many waterfront restaurants who are all grilling fish fresh off the boat!
This area is also famous for the Salt Fields and you can walk through the Rio Formossa for many miles in each direction!
